Katya Bochavar: I transition from one profession into another.

Katya Bochavar is the artist, curator and designer of more than a hundred exhibit, performance and theatrics projects in Russia and abroad. Since December 2018, she has headed Moscow’s state-owned Solyanka gallery, a bastion of contemporary art. Bochavar describes herself as an artist, who specializes in site-specific installations, which she has a fair number of. Her theatrical, directorial and curatorial work comes specifically from that motivation. And in this sense, Solyanka is an ultimate site-specific work for her.
